Our most recent newsletter covered digital transformation, showcasing the Agency's accomplishments to date and how Anambra State's adoption of contemporary technology would affect the quality of people's life.

ANAMBRA TECH REVAMP

To further advance the adoption of technology within the State, The Anambra State ICT Agency conducted “Tech Revamp”, a one-day stakeholder engagement event aimed at promoting conversation and idea sharing among all stakeholders in the tech industry.

It is not necessary for the whole of Anambra citizens to start a tech revolution, it only requires the committed few to scale.

TECH IS THE NEW OIL MONEY🤑

A panel was formed to initiate the discussion on "The Future of Technology in Anambra and the Role of All Stakeholders.. The panelists included a representative from academia, a tech hub, a blockchain expert, and a tech training center.

The Panel Acknowledged technology as the new oil, urging the Government to provide grants and make it easier for tech companies to access capital in the State.

PICK THE LOW-HANGING FRUITS🍇

Following the panelist discussions, Mr. David Onu of iNterra and Mrs. Uchenna Onwuemaegbu Ugwu, CEO Edufun Technik, delivered keynote speeches on the "Difficulties and Opportunities That lie Ahead in the Process of Building and Delivering a Digitally Transformed Anambra State" and "The Importance of an Informed Environment in a Tech-thriving State," respectively.

Keynote Speakers

Mr. David proposed that the State form an ICT Advisory Council, led by Mr. Governor, and other tech enthusiasts in the State, to keep stakeholders informed about government initiatives in the ICT sector.

Uchenna Onwuemaegbu-Ugwu suggested that the State raise awareness about digital skills adoption, particularly among parents, educators, and individuals; restructure the curriculum to incorporate digital literacy, and encourage collaboration across the state's innovation hubs.

A CALL TO ACTION🚧

Interactive Session

The Attendees, during the interactive session moderated by Grace Oluchi, urged the State Government to facilitate the establishment of business incubators to provide information and mentorship to startups. 

They also highlighted the need for the State Government to encourage telecom companies to collaborate more closely and ensure their participation in all of our events. 

CONCLUSION🔚. 

The four-hour event concluded with appreciation and networking among Panelists, keynote speakers, and attendees. All who attended had a successful meeting and a great networking opportunity.
